About Me

I am a devoted coffee drinker, casual sports enjoyer and obsessive millennial dog parent living in Calgary, Alberta.

I grew up in St. John’s, Newfoundland, and moved to Toronto in 2015 to complete a Master of Professional Communication. That is where I discovered a fascination with social robotics and began exploring how technology can shape the way we connect with one another. What started as curiosity grew into a research path that has focused on human-centred design for emerging technologies, with an emphasis on ethics and communication.

Today I am an Assistant Professor in Mount Royal’s Information Design program. In my teaching and research, I work to put people first by asking how design and technology influence trust, well-being, and decision-making in everyday life.

If you are interested in my work or would like to collaborate, I would be happy to connect.
